Resumen

El trabajo está relacionado con la posición que adoptan las Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (MIPyMES) frente al reto de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE). El objetivo es identificar si estas empresas están familiarizadas con la RSE, si desarrollan sus actividades productivas en apego a los principios de esta filosofía, si se realizan de manera intencionada, si se persigue un objetivo específico, y por último, conocer si están interesadas en obtener el reconocimiento oficial de RSE. La información se obtuvo de 343 (trescientas cuarenta y tres) MIPyMES, mediante un cuestionario aplicado por entrevista. Los resultados que se obtienen indican que no hay una percepción única e integral de RSE, la mayoría de las MIPyMES están más interesadas en aspectos de orden financiero, comercial y legal, que en aspectos de orden social, ambiental o comunitario o bien en buscar obtener el distintivo oficial de RSE.

Abstract

The work is related to the position adopted by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MIPyMES) in the face of the challenge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The objective is to identify if these companies are familiar with CSR, if they develop their productive activities in adherence to the principles of this philosophy, if they are carried out intentionally, if a specific objective is pursued, and finally, to know if they are interested in obtain the official recognition of CSR. The information was obtained from 343 (three hundred and forty three) MSMEs, by means of a questionnaire applied by interview. The results obtained indicate that there is no single and integral perception of
CSR, most MSMEs are more interested in aspects of financial, commercial and legal, than in aspects of social, environmental or community order or in seeking to obtain the official RSE badge.
