The purpose of this research is to analyze the possible relationship that exists between the perceptions of transformational and transactional leadership with job satisfaction. A sample of 69 workers from two private organizations in the Ecatepec de Morelos area, State of Mexico, was studied. This is a quantitative correlational and transactional study. To measure leadership styles, the CELID questionnaire by Castro et al., (2007) was used, and for job satisfaction, the questionnaire by Littlewood et al., (2006). The result of the correlation analysis suggests that both transformational and transactional leadership have a direct positive impact on job satisfaction.
