The objective of this research was to measure the financial education of people from Hermosillo through a perspective of gender and explaining its impact on personal income, using the aforementioned as an indicator of economic well-being in an econometric model to propose options for improving financial education and economic well-being for women. To do so, field work was performed where a database of 467 elements was obtained. Findings show that the level of financial education in women is lower, and in addition, their income depends on the level of financial education. As a result, women’s income is lower than that of men.
