Abstract

New Internet businesses entrepreneurship (nuevas emprendedoras de negocios por internet - nenis) are women entrepreneurs who generally use platforms to achieve economic independence and empowerment. This investigation analyzes the characterization of women entrepreneurs in Hidalgo from a qualitative approach; 18 interviews were applied to women with businesses operating for at least one year. The main results, show that the drivers for entrepreneurship are the necessity to generate economic resources (which implies labor freedom), emotional and female empowerment
