Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze, by means of an explanatory approach, the relationship between human resource management and innovation in micro and small enterprises (MSEs). The study was conducted in the municipality of San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico, where simple random sampling was applied, assuming a proportion of p = 0.5, a 5% margin of error, and 95% confidence, based on a sample of 384 micro and small business owners. Among the main findings, three factors significantly contribute to innovation: highly loyal employees, strong customer service, and efforts at increasing productivity.
