This article aims to analyze practices and perceptions related to income tax planning among university professors focusing on gender, making this study quantitative, descriptive and correlational through the application of a questionnaire to professors at the University of Guadalajara followed by a statistical analysis of the results. It is determined that women have less knowledge of tax deductions than men. There was no significant difference found regarding tax advice services or tax perception. As a key recommendation, a training strategy is proposed to strengthen financial and tax education skills.
