Abstract

The objective of this article is to determine which variables, that are directly associated with the competitiveness of MSME’s established in the municipality of Hermosillo Sonora, have been more affected by SAR-CoV-2 (which causes COVID-19). The methodological approach was quantitative, exploratory, descriptive, and non-experimental, taken from a sample consisting of 309 companies. The variables which were more susceptible to the effects of COVID-19 and determinants of competitiveness, in order of importance, were as follows:  human resources, strategic planning, and marketing. We recommend the implementation of strategies that foster and incentivize an MSME’s permanence and success as a positive and relevant means of responding and controlling the impact caused by COVID-19
