Abstract

The objective of the research study is to compare the difference in the development of management skills between men and women and the impact on the performance of the organizations. It was carried out in mypes located in the Altiplano Hidalgo region, with a sample of 292 organizations to which a survey of 49 items was applied using a likert scale; which measures the dimension of management skills (human resources, management, innovation, suppliers and market analysis) and the performance of the organizations (competitive advantage). A cross-table analysis and a logistic regression test were performed in order to analyze the relationship between gender and managerial skills. From the results obtained in the logistic regression, it is identified that men have an advantage in the innovation and human resources management skills; and in the case of women, in the suppliers, market analysis and management variable.
