Editorial process and double-blind peer review

1. Manuscript Submission
Submissions are accepted exclusively through the iQ4 Editores OJS platform. Submissions must be received at least 16 weeks before the publication of the corresponding issue.

2. Preliminary Review
The Editorial Committee will verify compliance with criteria for scientific quality, originality, thematic relevance, citation, length, and format.
Submissions that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage and returned to the authors.
Only manuscripts that comply with the guidelines will proceed to peer review.

3. Peer Review
All manuscripts accepted in the preliminary review will be evaluated using a double-blind peer review process by at least two specialists external to the editorial team.

4. Review Rounds and Timelines
First round: Reviewers will have two weeks to provide feedback. Authors will have two weeks to respond and implement corrections.

Second round: Reviewers will verify the corrections within two weeks. If new comments arise, the authors will have an additional two weeks to address them.

Third round (if necessary): The same two-week period for reviewers and two weeks for authors will be followed.

The entire peer review process will not exceed four months from the initial acceptance for review.

5. Final Decision
The Editorial Committee, based on the reviewers' reports, will decide whether to accept or reject the manuscript. The decision will be communicated to the authors in writing.

6. Editorial Production Costs
The journal requests a fee of MXN 4,500 / USD 241, intended exclusively to cover technical and editing expenses.

This payment does not guarantee publication.

Acceptance depends solely on the favorable report of the reviewers and the Editorial Committee.

7. Manuscript Rejection
The Editorial Committee may reject at any stage any submissions that do not meet the criteria for scientific quality, originality, thematic relevance, or correction of comments.

Rejection may occur during the preliminary review or at any stage of the peer review process.

Authors will be notified in writing of the rejection decision, along with the reasons given by the reviewers and the Editorial Committee.

8. Transparency and Ethics
The journal is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of authors and reviewers, ensuring the impartiality of the process, and guaranteeing that publication is based solely on academic and scientific criteria.

9. Transparency in Acceptance and Rejection
The RELAYN Journal maintains a rigorous peer review process. In recent years, acceptance rates have ranged from 12% to 30%, with rejection rates exceeding 70%. These indicators reflect the journal's commitment to the scientific quality and originality of the published works.
